This one's not really a fun fact, it's more of a reality check. Almost two out of three women say they don't feel safe walking alone, especially at night. That means the majority of women are missing out on every single benefit of walking: the fat loss, the mental health, the brain boost, all of it, because they just don't feel safe enough to go for a walk.
It's actually one of the biggest reasons I built Walk With Me. It's not just a walking app. I built 10 layers of safety into it, and you can read the full breakdown of our safety and privacy features if you want the deep dive. Here are the ones that matter most.
Your exact location is never shown to anyone. It's always offset by 200 meters, and there's a time delay on all location updates. So even in the worst case, nobody can pinpoint where you actually are or where you are right now.

You can set walks to women only, so it's just you and other women. It's the same idea as women-only gym hours, and it makes a huge difference in how comfortable a walk feels. You can create or find women only walks the same way you'd set up any other walk, and there are LGBTQ+ only walks too.
Every person who wants to join your walk has to be approved first. You can block anyone instantly and they'll never even know. And there's 24 hour moderation on everything, all backed by clear community guidelines. Put together, it's what makes a safe walking experience actually possible with strangers.
Every woman should be able to go for a walk without having to think twice about it. The app is called Walk With Me, it's free, go check it out and send this to a woman in your life who needs to hear it.

Hitting the gym, eating clean, counting calories, and the weight still won't move? You are probably missing the easiest fix. Walking burns more fat than you think.

Researchers sat people down for 20 minutes, then sent them on a 25 minute walk. Every single one scored higher on the test afterward. Walking changes your brain.
