Walk With Me lets licensed guides and touring agencies sell guided walks to travellers already browsing walking tours in your city. You set the route, the dates and the price. We handle discovery, booking, payment and tickets.
How it works, start to finish
Five steps from downloading the app to taking your first booking. Most of the waiting is verification, not paperwork on your side.
Verify your account
Install Walk With Me and confirm your email address and phone number. Your profile also needs a gender set, because some walks are restricted and the Apply button stays disabled until your profile is complete.
Apply from the organizer screen
Tell us who you are, where you guide, and what you run. Links to tours you already sell are the single strongest thing you can include, whether that is your own site or a listing on another marketplace. Mention any guiding licence and public liability insurance you hold.
We review your application
A human reads every application, usually within a few days. We are checking that you are a real, operating tour business. If we say no, you get a written reason and you are welcome to apply again once you can address it.
Stripe verifies your business
Approval unlocks payout setup, not selling. Stripe then runs its own identity and business checks, collecting your ID document, tax details and bank account directly. Walk With Me never sees or stores any of that. This step can take minutes or days, and it is Stripe's call, not ours.
Publish, and get paid
Once Stripe confirms you can accept payments, you can publish paid tours. Guests book and pay in the app, you scan their ticket at the meeting point, and Stripe pays you on its normal schedule.

- There is no booking fee added on top of your price. The number a guest sees on the listing is exactly what their card is charged.
- Stripe's card processing fee is charged to us, not to you, so your payout does not shrink further because a guest paid with a foreign card.
- Payouts go to your own Stripe account on its normal schedule. Walk With Me never holds your money at any point.
- You price in the currency of your Stripe account, which can be US dollar, euro, pound sterling or Hungarian forint, anywhere from 1 to 1,000 units. Forint is the exception, running from 400 Ft to 400,000 Ft in whole multiples of 100 Ft.
- There is no listing fee, no subscription and no charge for a tour that nobody books.
Running a tour
- A listing can hold up to 12 dates, so a tour you run weekly is one listing rather than twelve.
- You can map up to 9 named stops along the route, which is what turns a listing into something a traveller can picture.
- Group size is capped at 30 guests per date, and the app stops selling when you are full.
- Guests receive a QR ticket by email the moment they pay. You scan it in the app at the meeting point, with a guest list as a fallback for a dead phone.
- You choose a cancellation policy per tour: flexible allows free cancellation up to 2 hours before, moderate 24 hours, strict 72 hours. Refunds inside the window are automatic and you never have to process one by hand.
- If you have to cancel, every guest is refunded in full automatically, whatever policy the tour carried.
What you are responsible for
You are the seller. The contract for the tour is between you and your guest, and Walk With Me is not a party to it. In practice that means:
- Any guiding licence, professional registration or site permit your city requires, and public liability insurance appropriate to the tours you run.
- All taxes on your tour income, including VAT or the local equivalent on the ticket.
- Issuing any invoice your local law requires. Guests automatically receive a booking confirmation showing the amount and a reference, but that is a receipt rather than a tax invoice, and neither we nor Stripe can issue one in your name. Hungarian guides issue a számla from their own invoicing system and report it to NAV. Every sale is listed in your Stripe dashboard to invoice from.
- Chargebacks. If a guest disputes a payment with their bank, the money comes off your balance and you respond to it in Stripe. Your check-in record is usually the strongest evidence you have.
- Turning up, on time, and running the tour you described.

Who can apply
- You are at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- You have a Walk With Me account with a verified email address and phone number.
- You are based in one of the 34 countries we support, which covers most of Europe plus Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
- You apply either as an independent guide operating under your own name, or as a registered touring agency.
