Organizer Agreement

The terms for guides and touring agencies selling paid walking tours on Walk With Me.

This agreement applies to you if you have applied for, or been approved for, organizer access on Walk With Me, which lets you list and sell paid guided walking tours. It is in addition to our terms and conditions, our privacy policy and our community guidelines, all of which continue to apply to you as a member.

In this agreement, "we" and "Walk With Me" mean Kinetik, the operator of the app. "You" means the organizer. A "guest" is a member who books and pays for one of your tours. If you want the plain-English version of how this all fits together, read how paid walks work.

Current version: 2026-08-11. If we make a material change, we publish a new version and ask you to accept it before you can continue listing.

1. Who can become an organizer

To apply, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
  • Have a fully verified Walk With Me account, meaning a verified email address and a verified phone number.
  • Be based in a country we currently support: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom or the United States.
  • Apply either as an independent guide operating under your own name, or as a registered touring agency.

The country list follows where our payment provider supports the account type we use. We add countries as that support widens.

2. Vetting, approval and rejection

Organizer access is granted by review, not on request. We read every application and assess whether you appear to be a real, operating tour business. We weigh verifiable links to your existing tours most heavily, followed by licensing, insurance, the description of your tours and your experience.

We aim to respond within a few days and will email you either way. We may approve or reject an application at our discretion, and rejection comes with a written reason. You are welcome to apply again once you can address it; reapplying places you at the back of the queue.

Approval does not by itself allow you to sell. It unlocks payout setup with Stripe. You may publish paid tours only once Stripe confirms your account can accept payments.

3. You are the seller

When a guest books one of your tours, the contract for that tour is between you and the guest. You are the merchant of record. Walk With Me is not a party to it.

You are responsible for delivering the tour as described, for its quality and safety, and for meeting any consumer-protection obligations that apply to you as a seller in your jurisdiction. We do not organize, supervise or control your tours, and you are not our employee, agent, partner or representative. You must not present yourself as any of those things.

4. Licences, insurance, permits and tax

When you apply, you confirm that you comply with the licensing, insurance and tax requirements for running paid tours where you operate. That confirmation is recorded and you are expected to keep it true for as long as you hold organizer access.

In particular, you are responsible for:

  • Any guiding licence, professional registration or site permit your city or country requires for paid tours.
  • Public liability insurance appropriate to the tours you run. We strongly recommend it in every case and it may be legally required in yours.
  • All taxes arising from your tour income, including VAT or equivalent sales tax on the ticket. Because you are the seller, that liability is yours and not ours.
  • Issuing any invoice or fiscal receipt your local law requires, and reporting it to your tax authority. Because you are the seller, this is yours to do and we cannot do it for you.
  • Any business registration, employment or health-and-safety obligation that applies to how you operate.

We may weigh licences and insurance when reviewing your application, but we do not independently verify every document and we accept no responsibility for your compliance. Give us accurate information; providing false or misleading information is grounds for immediate removal.

About invoices

Every guest automatically receives a booking confirmation by email showing the tour, the amount they paid and a booking reference. That is a receipt, not a tax invoice. Neither Walk With Me nor Stripe issues a tax invoice in your name, and no setting in your Stripe dashboard will produce one, because Stripe treats the payment as ours to display even though the money is yours. If a guest asks for a formal invoice, issue it yourself from your own invoicing system. Hungarian organizers should note that a számla must be issued and reported to NAV by you; Stripe does not report to NAV at all. Every sale, with its date, amount and guest, is listed in your Stripe dashboard, which you can open from the organizer screen in the app.

5. Payments and payouts

Payments are processed by Stripe. To sell, you complete Stripe Connect onboarding, where Stripe collects and holds your identity documents, tax identifiers and bank details directly. Walk With Me does not see, receive or store that information.

Guest payments settle into your own connected Stripe account. Walk With Me does not hold your funds at any point. Payouts are made by Stripe to your bank account on Stripe's schedule for your account and country, and your Stripe dashboard is the record of what you have earned and when it was paid.

Your use of Stripe is governed by Stripe's own agreements with you. If Stripe restricts, suspends or closes your account, you will not be able to sell on Walk With Me while that lasts, and resolving it is between you and Stripe.

6. Our fee

Walk With Me charges a platform commission of 15% of the ticket price. It is deducted automatically at the moment a guest pays, so you never receive an invoice from us and never have to remit anything afterwards. You receive the remaining 85%, which Stripe pays into your account on its normal payout schedule. On a $40 ticket, that is $6 to us and $34 to you.

Stripe's own card processing fee is charged to us, not to you. The 85% figure above is what reaches your Stripe balance, and it does not shrink further because a guest paid with a foreign card.

We may change the rate in future. If we do, we will publish the new rate in an updated version of this agreement and ask you to accept it before it applies to you, and it will never apply retroactively to bookings already taken. We may also agree a different rate with you individually, in which case the agreed rate overrides this section.

7. Pricing your tours

  • You set your own price. It is charged in the currency of your Stripe account, which may be euro, Hungarian forint, US dollar or pound sterling.
  • Prices must fall between 1 and 1,000 units of your currency. For Hungarian forint the range is 400 Ft to 400,000 Ft, and the amount must be a whole multiple of 100 Ft.
  • The price a guest sees is the total price of the tour. Do not list a partial price and collect the balance in person, and do not require a mandatory extra payment that was not disclosed on the listing.
  • Once a tour is published, its price and cancellation policy are fixed. To change them, cancel the tour, which refunds every guest in full, and publish a new one.

8. Cancellations and refunds

You choose one of three cancellation policies for each tour, and it is shown to guests before they pay: flexible (full refund up to 2 hours before the start), moderate (24 hours) or strict (72 hours).

That policy governs only a guest changing their mind. In every other case the guest is refunded in full:

  • If you cancel a tour, every guest is refunded in full regardless of the policy you chose. This is not negotiable and it applies however close to the start you cancel.
  • If we remove a tour for breaching this agreement or our guidelines, every guest is refunded in full.
  • If a payment never completed, no money was taken and the held seat is released.

Repeatedly cancelling tours that guests have booked is treated as a serious breach of this agreement, whatever the reason given.

9. Chargebacks and disputes

Because payments settle into your account, you carry the chargeback liability on your bookings. If a guest disputes a payment with their card issuer, we will notify you and you are responsible for responding to Stripe with evidence within the deadline.

We may assist with information from the platform where we hold it, but we cannot respond on your behalf and we do not indemnify you against disputed payments.

10. Standards for paid tours

Selling on Walk With Me carries a higher bar than hosting a free walk. You agree to:

  • Describe your tours accurately, including route, distance, pace, terrain, duration, meeting point, group size, language and anything not included in the price.
  • Turn up, on time, at the meeting point you published, and run the tour you advertised.
  • Take reasonable care for the safety and wellbeing of your guests for the duration of the tour, and never abandon a group mid-walk.
  • Communicate promptly and respectfully with guests before and after the tour, including about any change.
  • List only tours you are genuinely able and permitted to run, in the areas you said you cover.
  • Not use organizer access to solicit guests for anything other than the tour they booked.

Our community guidelines apply in full, including to your conduct during in-person walks. Behaviour we would act on inside the app is behaviour we will act on when it happens on your tour.

11. Content and listings

You are responsible for the text, photographs and route information you publish, and you confirm you have the right to use them. You grant Walk With Me a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and promote your listings on the app and website, including on our public tour pages, for as long as those listings are live.

We may edit, hide or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful or in breach of our guidelines.

12. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or permanently remove your organizer access, with or without notice depending on the seriousness, if you breach this agreement or our guidelines, if you misrepresent yourself or your business, if guests are put at risk, or if we are required to by law.

A suspension imposed by us stays in place until we lift it, and is not reversed by your payment provider re-verifying your account. Suspension prevents you from listing new paid tours. Where we remove live tours, affected guests are refunded in full.

You may appeal by contacting support@walkwithmekinetik.life.

13. Ending your organizer access

You may stop being an organizer at any time, provided you have no live bookings. If guests have booked upcoming tours, cancel those tours first so that everyone is properly refunded, then resign.

Resigning stops you listing new paid tours. Bookings already completed are unaffected and payouts you are owed still reach you through Stripe.

14. Liability and indemnity

Walk With Me provides the platform. We do not warrant that you will receive bookings, and we are not liable for the conduct of guests, for the outcome of any tour, or for loss of profit or business arising from your use of organizer access.

Our aggregate liability to you is limited as set out in our terms and conditions. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under Hungarian law or mandatory European Union consumer protection law.

You will indemnify Walk With Me against claims, losses and costs arising from your tours, your breach of this agreement, your failure to hold a required licence, permit or insurance, or your negligent or wilful conduct.

15. Changes, and which law applies

We may update this agreement. Each version carries a date, and a material change means you will be asked to accept the new version before you can continue listing paid tours. Continuing to sell after accepting a version means that version applies to you.

This agreement is governed by Hungarian law, and disputes fall to the Hungarian courts, except that consumers resident in the European Union keep the mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in their home courts that their local law gives them.
