Good meeting points for your first group walk.

You meet your group outside Waterloo Station exit 4 to start this completely flat, linear walk along the River Thames. You follow the pedestrian path past the London Eye and the National Theatre, covering about 3 kilometers in roughly 45 minutes. It is a straightforward route with no hills. The path gets very busy on weekend afternoons, so weekday mornings are best for a quieter group walk. You finish near London Bridge and grab a flat white at Beany Green afterwards. Waterloo Station makes public transport access incredibly easy for everyone joining.

You gather your walking group outside the Queensway Underground Station entrance before heading into the park. This circular loop spans roughly 5 kilometers and takes about an hour to complete. The terrain is mostly flat with just a few gentle slopes along the paved paths. It gets quite busy around midday, but early mornings offer a peaceful experience. You can easily reach the starting point via the Central Line. After finishing the loop, you stop for hot drinks and pastries at the Broad Walk Cafe near the playground.

You assemble your group on the stone steps of St Paul's Church in the main piazza. This flat walk loops through historic cobblestone streets and hidden courtyards, covering about 2 kilometers over 30 minutes. The area is packed on weekend afternoons, so aim for a Tuesday or Wednesday morning to avoid the heavy crowds. You can easily access the meeting point from Covent Garden tube station. Once you finish the loop, you head over to Monmouth Coffee Company on Monmouth Street for some of the best brew in town.

You meet your group at the statue of Charles I at the top of Whitehall. This flat, linear walk takes you straight down Whitehall past Downing Street to Parliament Square, covering 1.5 kilometers in about 25 minutes. It is a direct route with no incline. The sidewalks get crowded with tourists during midday, making early mornings the ideal time for a group walk. You can easily arrive via Charing Cross Station. After finishing, you grab a warm drink at Cafe Nero right next to Westminster Station.

You gather your walking group at the Southwark Cathedral courtyard entrance just next to the market. This flat walk loops through the bustling food stalls and surrounding historic alleys, covering roughly 1.5 kilometers in 40 minutes at a leisurely pace. The market is packed to the brim from Thursday to Saturday, so a Wednesday morning walk is much calmer. You can easily reach the spot via London Bridge Station. Afterwards, you sit down for a warm drink at Monmouth Coffee on the edge of the market.
