Two cities, two sides of the story

London is where the films came into town. The London walk finds the real streets that became the wizarding world: the Leadenhall Market doorway that played the Leaky Cauldron, the Millennium Bridge the Death Eaters tear into the Thames, the bank hall that played Gringotts, and the bridge where the Knight Bus squeezes through traffic.

Edinburgh is where the books were written. That walk follows J.K. Rowling's real story: the college where she trained as a teacher, the café windows where she wrote, Greyfriars Kirkyard, and the hotel where she finished the last book. At every stop you hear what she has said herself, clearly separated from what fans and shop signs claim.

Both walks tell you which famous claims are true and which are fan myths, and both are unofficial: not made with or endorsed by Warner Bros. or J.K. Rowling.

Good to know before you go

Unofficial fan walks
Not made with or endorsed by Warner Bros. or J.K. Rowling, and no clips, stills or soundtrack. You hear the true story of the places.
Myths labelled as myths
Harry Potter has collected a lot of legends. The walks tell you which come from Rowling herself and which come from fans.
Plan the timing
The London walk is about 6 km, so allow two and a half hours with stops, and go on a weekday for Leadenhall Market. The Edinburgh walk is about 3.3 km and an hour and a half, with some hills.
Look, don't block
Some locations are working shops, a school and government buildings. You see them from outside, so keep doorways clear.

Handcrafted for Your Time in the City

These tours aren't a checklist of sights. They're made to be walked slowly, headphones on, eyes on the city.

Meditative and Immersive

Each story is told where it happened. The app chimes when you reach a stop, one tap starts the story, and the stretch between stops is yours to take in at your own pace.

Handcrafted With Care

We choose every route and every stop ourselves and shape each story with care, so the time you have in the city goes to the places most worth seeing.

Better With Someone

Every walk is better with someone beside you, so if you can bring a friend, we really hope you do. That's why one purchase covers everyone you invite: they join your tour free.
